What song are you listening to right now?

A post in another thread reminded me of is. I was lucky enough to see these cats live, and make no doubt...I can't remember his name, but he is bar none the best recorder player alive.

Actually if you can get past her use of theatrics,Pink is a fairly good performer...to me,music is not about what others like,it is what pleases me ;)

I have music playing 24 hours a day and often hear how eclectic my tastes are...my music collection is very diverse and the internet offers some really great choices along the way...when I post here,it is often because a particular song has played on my sound system first :p

I got to see this army of guitars and drums with Molly Hatchet in Pittsburgh in 1979 at the former home of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team,The Civic Arena AKA the Igloo...the Civic Arena had a roof that was dome shaped in sections that were motorized so it could be open air...if a music show was a big enough attraction,they opened it...I got to see quite a few shows with the dome opened

In September of 1984 I got to meet Bruce Springsteen at a small dirty club called The Decade after seeing his second sold out show that night...The Decade was known for having national acts and any performers who played there got their name painted on the outside wall of the building... My crew of people were aware that many musicians would do short cameo sets there after their bigger shows ended so we sped across town about 5 miles to try to see them intimately. Most of the decorations inside the Decade were donated items stolen from other places of business in the Pittsburgh area...My donation was a porcelain sign with "Lay or Bust Poultry Feeds" on it swiped from their competition after extracting (2) three inch long Phillips head screws with a P-38 military can opener on my keyring while my buddies kept the barkeep busy drinking "Jack in a Box" shots...hot,cramped and dirty,gritty, grimy and gutteral...true rock and roll from the Corner of rock n roll,Atwood and Sennott streets Oakland,Pittsburgh,Pa,USA...On many nights,you could find my car illegally parked nearby :D

I got to see BonJovi front row center stage at the Arena and had Carlos Santana dripping sweat on my in the pit at what is now the Coca Cola Amphitheater,or Star Lake Theater as it was called at the time...The pit boss promised me front row seats and when he could not deliver he let me lean on center stage in the pit beside him :cool:

There is no comparison to listening to the stage monitors instead of the echoed rehashed stuff out of the pa system :D

The music never stops in my world and I do believe it was what helped me out of my blur after breaking my brain ;)

Cool man, Good music.. I had a brain breakage too , think I mended it with music mostly and am back to my old flawed self again :) music is surely the best thing in the world :)
