What is the greatest compliment you have ever received?

Just before leaving the services, overhearing my commanding officer discussing with my sergeant major what was to be written on my testimonial in the little red book all service personnel receive on leaving.
I'd worked along side them in HQ as their clerk for a while and shared a sense of humour with them.

They were composing it between themselves. That in itself felt honorary. The person they were talking about was me. Two decorated and respected officers were so complimentary I had to turn around and walk away. It was a bit overwhelming. (I wasn't supposed to have heard what they were discussing)

Going back to my College days, one of the Managers there once told me I look good in black, and 25 years later, guess what? I still do! :D
