What is being bad at switching task?

I can multi-task to a degree but I don't prefer it. When I am multi-tasking, I can respond rather curtly to an interruption. It's like my attention is already as saturated as possible, and things fall apart when someone stops to chat. However, I have learned to put off the conversation with a remark like "Can we talk later? I'm busy right now."
