I wanna start playing Famicom and NES games (mostly the former because the Family Computer is superior) and I own some Famicom carts and a AV to HDMI adapter and my local gamestore that specializes in old games has a giant NES collection. I have 3 choices and will list the pros and cons of each. I need you guys to help me guide my decision.
The Nintendo Entertainment System
Pros:
Sharp Twin Famicom
Pros:
RetroUSB AVS
Pros:
The Nintendo Entertainment System
Pros:
- Detachable controllers
- Can play NES games natively (obviously)
- Need to buy Disk System separately after also buying an Famicom adapter.
Sharp Twin Famicom
Pros:
- Can play both Famicom and disc system games without need to buy a disc system separately for the latter.
- Hardwired controllers
RetroUSB AVS
Pros:
- Can play both NES and Famicom games natively and has an expansion port for Disk System.
- Need to buy a disk system seperately.
- Comes with no controllers whatsoever, the one listed on their official site costs like 60$
