What can you do with the number 9?

I am not a fan of numbers in that I have dyscalculia and they are swirling blobs to me, although I truly like the IDEA of numbers. But I've just learned there are all kinds of unusual, unexpected, absorbing things a person can do with the number 9, and it's given me an appreciation of the mysteries of numbers--though the calculations are difficult for me to understand because my noggin stops working and starts rebelling around the count of 15. I thought I would put this thread up to ask, for whoever is into numerals: what are some weird and whacky things you can do with 9?.

It goes beyond 81.

9+9 =18, that's a break in the pattern, then:
1+0+8
1+1+7
1+2+6
Etc.

If, when you get to 90 (=81+9) and add 9 to get 99, add 9 and 9 to get 18, then add 1 and 8, you get 9. So if you always recursively sum the digits until you get a single digit, it is always 9, i.e. the series is infinite.

Take any integer and distill it down as above,
Example: 2026,
2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10;
1 + 0 = 1

When you divide 2026 by 9, its remainder will also be 1 !

(The only exception is if it distills down to 9, the remainder will be 0.)

Nine is the first square of a number larger than two.
It is the largest single-digit number.
When you see a line of them on an odometer, you can soon see a rare sight.
In numerology it sums up your life, or something like that.
On a sign using vinyl letters, if there is a typo interchanging a six with a nine, the installer can fix it. (happened to me, startling hell out of my boss, who had just switched from paint)
If there are too many of them in a column of expenses, it gets flagged as more likely to be fraud than random.
Retailers like nines in the cents column to reduce sales resistance.
