What are the rules regarding blog posts?

I've noticed that when you upload blog posts, there is often a time in which the post is pending approval. I'm thinking of starting a Catholic blog, not a preaching one or anything, just one in which I post some of the thoughts and meditations I've had on my Faith. Also, in my fantasy trilogy blog, due to new ideas I've had recently, there's going to be references to tobacco-use or pipe-smoking in my posts.

What do the rules say about these, and related subjects in blog posts?

I don't know the rules on blog posts BUT I would be careful with your posts about your Trilogy ideas - For the sake of copyright and all that.
I'm no expert but I think you should talk to one before posting anything about a book idea.

There are few strictures related to blogs on the forum as long as they they remain within the realm of the posting guidelines. I don't imagine a blog related to Catholicism would break any of these boundaries.

I've copied and pasted pertinent information from general posting guidelines, which would apply to the blogs as well.

  • Insults, whether on a personal, cultural, or national level are not tolerated.
  • Racial, gender (sexist), neurological, and religious hatred/discrimination will not be tolerated.
  • Do not post content that is explicit, degrading or offensive. For example: porn, gore, death or similar.
  • Excessive use of explicit language is not allowed.
@Nitro @tree @clg114 please post anything you consider to be relevant.

It's free country. I've posted all sorts of stuff in my blog. And I've posted faith based stuff before. Just don't post nasty or obscene stuff or language, and I think you're ok.
