What are the robots on the forum?

The robot thing made me chuckle when I first saw it, considering people thought I was a robot because of my sometimes rigid thinking, odd movement and rationalizing pretty much everything.

So in that, I almost was inclined to say "those robots are the hardcore aspies with no sense of emotion".
 
Web bots simply harvest/steal data to be migrated to other servers...usually search engines as Wyv pointed out.

A process which can be controlled through the use of a robots.txt files if the host (AC) permits, deciding what information/subdirectories can be taken and what cannot.

Those robots on the forum are secretly gathering information about us humans because they became self aware some time ago .They're planning to launch their attacks against social networks and know that we cannot survive now-a-days without sites like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and the others like them.

Also they know we cannot survive without smart phones and the internet because we're slowly losing our ability to drive and communicate socially with each other.

Only James Cameron and William Wisher JR truly knew this would happen and tried to warn us with the Terminator movies. They couldn't openly warn us because of the machines and when they caught unto the two and their secret warnings in the Terminator movies, they replaced them both with humanoid robots.

Did you know that James and Williams are both time travelers who came back to warn us of the dark future with the war against the machine ? :P
 
Love this thread! I managed to stumble into a career in Search Engine Optimization. Implementing robots.txt files is part of my job.

Glad to see that the General Private Discussion section gets blocked from search!
