Weird Al Yankovic performs "Yoda" with autistic girl

Oh yes! I previously posted this in the "What Song Are You Listening To" thread. Someone on Facebook posted their regret that it was connected to Autism Speaks, but I don't remember seeing such reference in the video...

For what it's worth, this page about the event doesn't say anything about Autism Speaks:

This is the only organization mentioned on the page and their focus appears to be on supporting programs to actually help people on the autism spectrum, not "curing" autism:

Also for what it's worth, Michael John Carley (who is on the board for NYCA), who has made critical posts about Autism Speaks, made posts on Facebook about Night of Too Many Stars without mentioning an Autism Speaks connection.

Of course, it's always worth investigating how the money will actually be used when donating to any autism-related organization (I would personally want to donate to one a bit geographically closer to me and probably not to a tv telethon), but NYCA seems pretty reputable.

I suppose, however, to ***** and moan and split hairs about the funding would be a disservice to the performances and the kids themselves. :)
