Unsatisfaction of Sundays

Even the most well adjusted individuals are probably in a better mood on Friday nights than Sunday nights, but Sundays have made me unhappy and lazy for decades, probably going back to 2nd grade over 53 years ago.
I want to shut down on Sundays and not do anything, because I am so unsatisfied that I have five more days of work before the next weekend.
The negative effect is worse if there are no holidays coming up, or if I have just completed a vacation period.
Today I was in the mood for a show since there are about 10 movies I want to see, but I am just too unsatisfied to go on a Sunday.
If my anti- Sunday feelings were common, the NFL would go out of business, since very few people would drag themselves to a game on Sunday. There would be low attendance at basketball games on Sunday night also.
I am very unsatisfied and lazy at this very moment.
I know my life experiences and emotions are so strange that I have no human counterpart, but I wonder if anyone else feels this unsatisfied on Sundays because they have five days of work ahead before a day off.

I hate that feeling too.. I hate monday more than sunday. But when i need to do work preparation for monday, on sunday, i feel negative on sunday too. Sunday is supposed to be a happy holiday, but the thought (or worse, preparation for the work) makes it a bitter(-sweet?) day..

For years, I was depressed every Sunday, but it wasn't because of work coming, it was something else, so I guess it's just a coincidence. And there's a song with a line something like, "Sunday's my suicide day," but there's also a song called "Sunday" about how Sunday is a refuge for people.

At least, I think that's what it's about...

It's just the cycle of life... For me I generally relax on Sunday evening, just to get mentally ready for a new work week... I wouldn't call it un-satisfaction, just slowing down

Even experts recommend having a slow down evening prior to a work week, for anyone... But I am generally active in the daytime on Sunday, by the evening I like to be at home

Ironically I’ve discussed this with my therapist. He told me statistically around 1 p.m. the average person begins to have worsening moods on Sunday.

Sunday evenings are my chilling-with-friends evenings, so I enjoy them. Sounds like you need to spend less time thinking about future misery and thus bringing it into the present, and more time enjoy the time you have right now. Just think, you could die in a car accident on the way to work on Monday morning and all that time spent being miserable about the upcoming 5 days of work will have been for naught.

Loved Fridays and Saturdays because they meant no school the next day. A time to relax.

Conversely I often hated Sundays.

Mostly because of dreading the next day, having to face school bullies in grammar school. Used to hate MJB Coffee commercials too. They'd come on tv like clockwork every 7:25 am on weekdays...when my mother reminded me that I needed to head off to school. :(

Honestly, I rarely ever have a free weekend and Sundays end up my only days off most of the time(if any), so I'm rather fond of them myself. It was like this since I was 16, so I'm quite used to the pattern now. I know I used to hate Sunday evenings when I was still at school but, well, things change, no?

You probably agree with " The Bangles" whose song reads " Just another manic Monday, wish it were Sunday, cause that's my fun day."

I don't mind them. I think the only time I really dreaded Sunday evenings was back when I was trying and failing to work in sales/admin/peopley jobs that I found incredibly stressful. These days, if I'm in contract (9-to-5) roles then it's always IT work that I know I can do and enjoy to some extent. Even when it gets tough. Saturday is my last 'weekday' and when I chill out, do fun things, meet people. Then Sunday is more work-focused normally, as I'm prepping for work. So it feels like the first day of the week in that sense, as my brain is switching into work mode; planning a schedule, cooking for the week if I have to commute anywhere, sorting office clothes, maybe fitting in housework or any other tasks I know I won't have time for. Although it's more relaxed than Monday-Friday.
