To dumb to steal

He since young was good at maths, it's not idea I implanted, he's still keen but it takes time to go back to foundation of algebra so I drilled that idea in with examples of past exam papers that he failed, and when I realised he'd being gaming when I'm not looking. Home schooling requires organisation and discipline and we've realised he doesn't study so well on his own. So back to school or strict schedule that coincides with my effort to maintain? But final certificate is usually handled via school system, we'd have to go to Cape to be able to write exams as home schooled so it's legal aspect of credentials, as well.
I think below article is referring to grades dropping in special schools, I've seeing this myself, inclusion is better option and isn't much for high school aside home schooling that really seems to demand me to facilitate assessments/schedule and marking of maths sums. I work so it has become tiring that he's not doing enough by himself.

Rigorous screening for learning difficulties is required for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as a significant minority of affected individuals with average cognitive skills show academic delays, according to a new study. The longitudinal study examined early predictors of and changes in academic achievement and class placement in children who had been referred for ASD early in infancy (age 2).

The data showed that academic skills varied widely at ages 9 and 18 years, but in general were in-line with or higher than expected based on their cognitive ability. However, a proportion of children with ASD experienced delayed achievement by age 9 (22%) and age 18 (32%) years, despite exhibiting average or above average cognitive skills. Children who stayed in general or inclusive education showed higher academic achievement (in terms of IQ scores) at ages 9 and 18 years, compared to those who moved to special education classrooms. Importantly, early cognitive ability and parent-mediated intervention as early as age 3 years could predict long-term academic outcomes at ages 9 and 18 years. As such, the researchers conclude that very early interventions that target cognitive skills and parent participation may help later academic development.

Not sure what your culture is some cultures are all about marks. my grade point average in college after night school and day three years of day is 80.001.right on threshold of honours and in all those years not one employer ever asked about it. My brother threw his degree and award away on his 65 birthday as I guess he realized it made no difference unemployed for 30 years he passed a few months later I looked for those awards afterwards to me they were family heirlooms. irreplaceable, I guess last thing he was thinking. Now my grand daughter will never see them.

I suppose education is just way to ensure we have knowledge but under our conditions it's to rigid to assume one size fits all. I find cultural distinction somewhat confusing since we all borrow ideas from others, suppose it's part of the ego and identity. Suppose with Hungarians and Indonesians in last generation our cultural pride has diminished by those who've risen to take lead in technology revolution, perhaps one day more people would loose more of their identity in race to fulfill employment criteria.
 
My brother in law is of Hungarian descent. also suspect a fellow Aspie. really impressed with their educational system at least prior to ww2. Other physicists called them the Martians as their way of looking at things were so different when they developed the bomb. I know you are concerned My siblings and I landed on our feet and did my sons.
pretty sure you son will be OK. My older son quit college for a year went back graduated first job interview for technician position offered job as manager.
