It is a spectrum. They even use normal distribution to model it. Normal distribution never goes to zero and it continues above the zero into the infinity in both directions. Hence every human is on the spectrum but only the clear minority crosses the cut off line regarding autistic pathology. I think in case you have a dog even its poo is on the spectrum.
