Epicurean Pariah
Immaculate perception
Just trying not to frown may help. I saw an interesting documentary once that was studying facial expressions and noticed the grumpy faces were actually grumpy at the end of the day. They studied it and found the brain to secret chemicals based on facial expressions.
I tend to opt for level-ground kind of phrases. "I may be as sinner, but you're no saint either!" I find myself very uncomfortable with saying positive things about myself, and saying negative things about myself just makes me angry. Staying in the middle makes me feel like I'm firm-footed but not stuck, confident but not cocky, and other middle things. In it's own way, it makes me happy.
AsheSkyler, in my cocky opinion, every saint is a sinner, and every sinner a saint. No one is all good or all not good. It all depends on time, circumstance and definitions. The evaluation of others to make the judgement and impose the penalty is the realm tyranny. The world of understanding and acceptance of the least of humanity,is grace.
The barbarians are into killing everything that breathes, forever,
mindset. The more gentle and civilized are more inclined to being like leaves in the stream. I see some benefits to all philosophies. For myself, well, I am a barbaric bug on a leaf in a torrent, and using every tool in my kit to avoid the rocks and paddling as hard as I can to get to a pleasant cove.
