the more convinced I am a woman is into me, the less likely I am to make a move

Without telling her I'm into her, I managed to get my next door neighbor (who I suspected might have been into me) to share her preferences in a man yesterday.

Turns out I fall short of her age requirements and height requirements.

I'm glad I got the closure of knowing I have no chance with her without the humiliation of an official rejection. But at the same time, this experience further solidifies my self-doubt of my ability to gauge a woman's interest level.

yeah, some might think i seek cases like this out, but however sometimes i end up being exposed to them without me not wanting to know, but i end up being told anyway, reminds me of a black guy with autism from chicago that i'm in contact with, told me of another not an usual case for a guy

I know I said on my OP the core reason I'm afraid of rejection is because I'd blame my ASD for being unable to read her lack of interest (and I'm extremely self-conscious about my ASD)

After thinking on it, there's an even deeper core explanation for my fear of rejection:

I have extremely low self-esteem when it comes to my worthiness as a romantic/sex partner (The analogy I'd use: My self-esteem is about as low as New Orleans's elevation. Even one more rejection could be enough to do a Hurricane Katrina on my self-esteem)
