Yes, it did. It went (get this) down by about 10 dollars. Heh. (See? It made me laugh.)

Have you ever wondered why it's called Good Friday in light of what the myths say happened today? Shouldn't it rightly be called Bad Friday? Either the authors were being ironic or they had a sick sense of humor. Or, maybe the Romans first called it that. It was certainly a good Friday for them.

That puzzled me, too. Then there was the ONE sermon that made sense. I learned at age 12 why it was called Good Friday.
The day was called 'good' because it fulfilled the purpose for which it was designed.

This was a big deal to me. Episcopalian sermons aren't known for being memorable.
 
Having been raised Episcopalian, I know precisely what you mean. One sermon I heard as a child that I never forgot called evangelism "The E Word" and talked about how people won't listen to you if they have no interest in what you're saying so you shouldn't try to press your faith on others unless someone asks you about it. If someone wants to hear what you have to say, they'll come to you. Words to live by.

Quite possibly the wackiest Broadway show ever. I was just gonna watch the first couple of minutes and then download it to watch later, but I ended up watching the whole thing right then. When we saw it live a few years back, Mom actually knew who the actor playing Arthur was since they'd been acquainted in high school (a guy named Gary Beach who actually has quite a few stage credits). She declined to say hello after the show, though, 'cause she didn't think he'd remember her and that might have been somewhat awkward.
 
I don't drink myself. It makes me laugh as whenever I'm in the pub, I always think of that advert they show at Christmas where the guy walks up to the bar and this happens:


If he asks me "So, what's it gonna be?", I would say "I'll have two pints of what you've just had, mate...because you're off your head!"

I always get mad when I see ads like that because I lost around fifty pounds over three months when I was in college and ended up being temporarily hypoglycemic until my body adjusted to the weight loss and things went back to normal. It wasn't fun. Trust me when I say that encouraging people to lose that much weight that quickly is DANGEROUS and UNHEALTHY.
