That was my first thought on seeing the thread title.
I do like astronomy and black holes are interesting. Neutron stars are my favorite space objects though.
I love black holes, to properly understand the universe you need to understand black holes. this is where relativity and quantum mechanics meet. One of them needs to be falsified. my gut feeling it will not be Einstein.
I like, Carlo's Rovelli take on black holes they are really very large explosions but due to time distortions take the age of the universe to completely explode.
