Banksy did a famous piece of a girl letting go of a balloon. Turns out there was a paper shredder built into the frame, and when the winning bid was made the shredder turned on and halfway ate up the painting before a technical glitch turned it off. Idea being that in the end art will disappear just like everything will on earth despite how much people pay for it.
