I can read between the lines, but it’s not fun when the result is bad. Especially when you have to face it so much. Sometimes, it happens so much that it makes me think that America has this kind of culture generally speaking. It also makes me wonder if part of this cultural nuance is what makes terrorists who they are. I’m sure that poverty and extreme beliefs contribute to that as well. Even if from context, and even if you say things to indicate that you don’t mean what you say clearly, if you even make a joke about some god, there is automatically disdain for you. A clashing of cultures.

That’s what it feels like when I get burned in “friendships” sometimes. Some people are so lackadaisical or intentionally manipulative that it is sick.
