Hey everybody,

I've just been watching "Van Wilder: Party Liaison (2002)" and was thinking how great it would be to be able to be a student for life.

Not for the party culture, but for the actual studying. There are son many subjects that I would like to study, I'd love it.

I know that it wouldn't be practical for me to be a student for life (unless I suddenly become a multimillionaire), but I think it would be great.
 
I would love to have a lot of money and be lifelong student just for the fun of it. The best time of my life was in university as a full-time student. I saved up and quit working for two years to finish my degree. It was an excellent experience.
 
Most Aspies are full time students. Everybody should be full time students. Maybe not formally, but at least students.
 
I'm trying to get on an NVQ Level 3 customer service course at the local College, but because of the useless cretins who run the Country who hate the disabled, there's no funding for disabled adults over 19 to do courses, so I probably won't be able to update my skills and qualifications, **** you David Cameron and Gideon Osborne.
 
O-GOD! How can anyone on the spectrum like school? I still have nightmares to this day thinking about it. The people, the bullying, the constant noise in the dorm. If on the other hand, you wanna learn something. Go to the library, or get in the internet. You have the whole world of knowledge at your fingertips, without the people, the distractions, the bullying and the cost of tuition.

F**K SCHOOL! I prey to God that it will burn in hell. And I will enjoy the smell of it's burning flesh!

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad time at school.

I went to a public school and was left alone most of the time. I wasn't very social at school so used to spend my breaks, etc on my own in one of the computer lab's.

I guess you're lucky. I was constantly bullied to no end.
 
Doesn't have to be school, per se. Uni, college, private adult educator providers, private tuition, self learning, online learning, Youtubing, travel, apprenticeships, life... Learning is EVERYWHERE. The luxury of graduate research is the ultimate prize, but one needs time and finances for that.
