Strange hallucination/ lucid dream?

I just see dreams in the context of two considerations:

1. That they are what they are- just sleep-induced dreams.
2. That they may be a catalyst for something else in a place not fully understood lying in between a conscious and unconscious state.

For myself, having a brief but distinct out-of-the-body experience was disturbing to say the least. Having momentarily fallen asleep on the sofa in the middle of the day, only to have woken up seeing myself on the sofa at the same time.

Astral Projection- something I've experienced at least twice now over the years. Makes me wonder if the death experience is akin to this in whole or in part?

Seeing myself on the sofa, I've had this happen to me as well. On top of it, I've seen my mother sitting in an armchair next to the sofa.

If you're familiar with David Lynch, he has had quite a few OBE experiences and his movies are often based on his dreams. Watching Twin Peaks I've seen a certain relation to my dreams. Of course it's not real but those experiences can be equally scary and fun.

Another dream I had a day ago was a true Lynch experience: I've been lying on my bed and all of sudden a door appeared on the wall. Going through the door, I ended up in a room I've never seen before, littered with a few pieces of broken toys and an old trampoline. The room was covered in thick layers of dust and looked like a vaulted cellar. At the wall opposite, a window appeared, offering a view of our garden. It was actually the right direction in relation to my bed. It's the view I would have if there really was a window on the wall next to my bed. The window changed into a door and behind the door there was a completely unknown city with white houses of trapezoide shape. A man in a suit showed me to one of the houses with various door bell nameplates but no door, telling me to choose one and ring. I replied: If there's no door why should I ring?
Then I woke up. After waking up I could no longer remember the names on the plates but I know I could read them in my dream.
