Here in France, thanks to foreknowledge, public transport was cancelled and parks closed etc and alarts sent to our phones.

A lot are without electricity, but for us, it went out a couple of times and then, came back on.

We were on orange alert and were we used to live, that was on red alert! Selfish me, felt glad I am in an orange alert.

I do not cope with high winds, due to what happened many year's ago in my country, the uk, but glad that rather than fear, I actually was thinking straight.

Some like the sound of the storm; but to be, it is too frightening, so to collect wood ( not outside), I put my headphones on and listened to music and it really helps.

Our "damage" was very funny, really. The worst, was one of my husband's valuable trees was uprooted and just brushed his poly tunnel. It is fascinating, because items near by, were left unharmed and the tree completely torn from its roots.
