Sports and losing

I really only follow one sports league, the CFL (Canadian Football League).

Anyone who is Canadian might know where this is headed... I'm a lifelong Calgarian and do cheer for the Stampeders, my team... To watch them lose the Grey Cup for two years in a row is depressing me... Perhaps I take it far too personally, as it's not my fault, it's their fault... I just feel really depressed right now and out of sorts... I feel like it reflects how much of a losing city Calgary is, my city, and feel embarrassed... We needed this for our civic morale...

I'll probably get over it, eventually, it just sucks right now!

You will love me tonight. I am wearing my Grey Cup 2003 Regina sweat shirt right now. I love it! It is my favourite shirt. I sleep in it and wear it all day, it's that great. It's heavy and lovely. I got it at a thrift shop in Ontario!! When I wore it out, people would ask me if I was there..........

PS As far as losing.......ummmm, I am a Leafs Fan, so yeah, we WERE used to that , though NOW we are KICKIN ARSE!! GO LEAFS!

As one guy on the local radio broadcast said tonight, that we are getting to be known as a team that chokes, a good team that never wins the big prize, especially when it's two year in a row, and he felt rather embarrassed about that particularly when having to tell other people... I guess we can join the likes of the Buffalo Bills now... I'm not sure how they live with that as a city... Or maybe it's not really that important
