Because of practicing for 3hrs 2 week's ago, it appears, I thought I was competent enough to jump in the car and not even bother listening to the instructions ie trying to prove I didn't need for him to show me ( hate this side of my personality ie eagerness but in the wrong direction).
What an experience though! He taught me how to hold the wheel and how to steer it properly, on going around bends.
He only had to force break a couple of times and that was within an hour and what felt like to me, driving a lot.
He reckons with practice I will be driving confidently, which is such a boost to hear, for I must admit it is stressful!
I have another chance next week, but for 2hrs, because he wants me to learn to relax.
And....and...... all done in French lol Thankfully I understood most of what he said to me. Got stuck on Freine (probably bad French there) which is: brake.
He asked me a few times how I felt and I said that I was surviving and then laughed because I asked: more to the point, how was he? He said that he was great.
He even asked me as casual as could be, to pull into a side road and stop, so he could take a phone call and when we started off, I did it all, without him having to remind me.
I do feel though, that I need to practice a lot and thus, hopefully, my husband will soon, see about getting me a car, or hiring one (which is more likely) for about a week, so I can go out every day.
