I think arts and craft fairs could be my big break to get some regular sales. With a mortgage and bills I don't think I could realistically work full time on my art unless I see some decent/regular sales from craft fairs etc.

Have you looked at other online platforms such as etsy etc?
How about joining forums with fellow online artists who do make money and getting ideas from them, help you put yourself out there.
Also, visit your local art galleries and exhibit, advertise to go commissions for people.
