Since Halloween is in 3 weeks...

Horror is my favourite genre of films.
And I love Halloween. Decorating the house and myself to answer the door.

I have never celebrated Halloween, but I love horror movies. Any recommendations for some one who has seen just about any thing of note?

I love Halloween, because I can go to shops and buy things that are supposed to be decorations and just have them as every day things for my house :p I don't answer the door on Halloween.

Wow... so far I am the "devil" of this post... : )

I dont like any form of horror movies, creepy documentaries, even the murder detective stuff that my wife is totally engrossed with...
Any form of violence just messes me up. Maybe it has to do with my past - I'm not sure.

As far as celebrating Halloween, thank you but no thank you. Its just another day to me, and that night I work out in the barn on the cars or something. Never even liked it as a kid.

As for what I watch (which is very little)...I'm the true story (happy ending/good moral), adventure, learning, baseball, soccer, auto racing, type of very boring guy... I get that, but its who I really am.

But as Aristotle said, "We are what we think about." I actually believe this, so I take deeply to heart what I allow into my head and heart...

However, if you love getting the poop scared of you, then I wish you all the enjoyment that can be had.
I'm not a hater, or a advocate against Halloween or anything else. I'm just also for each his own...

Maybe its because I hate scary clowns so bad... Someone always has to be a freaking scary clown, and I don't want any part of any "penny wise" nightmare... no way in hell.

If I have to be a halloween figure... I'm Casper (the truly friendly ghost) and I disappear a lot. : )

I maintain university dorms; that's like being in a horror film.

Oh gosh... I bet you have halloween hell on your hands... Geez, I would have to find some sanity pills to deal with that sh... stuff. Can you take your vacation that week, call in sick, say you went on a trip and got in a plane crash, fell and hit your head and have amnesia... No way would I want to trade jobs with you for that week.

GOOD LUCK to you and I am sending you all the extra mental sanity I have (which probably will never make it too you), but it the thought that counts... : )

Hi SusanLR i like your flame picture frame and i like your avatar. I personaly like halloween and i have volunteered for the haunted hayride 4-6 times here in puyallup when they use to offer it and i also volunteered for the haunted walk through here in puyallup like 2-3 times. I decorate my house with halloween decorations and i have been decorating my house in halloween decorations for years and i also hand out candy on halloween but where i live some years we only get a few trick or treaters and some years we get none at all.

Do you like horror films? View these videos in HD. I'm in all of them, too. ;)

I prefer ones with suspense that has you guessing to the very end. You know? Like a horror-thriller! You hardly get movies that are like this anymore. Hollywood opted to go with remakes, "reboots" and milking franchises in other ways. Now you even get games that try to connect to films, like there's now an Alien PS4 game where you play Ripley's daughter. Meh.

I get tired of all the 'in your face' gory types. They are always the same. I do like sequels, but some sequels are just flat out awful, or when you they try and mix other characters that fight each other or form a team. I mean, did we really need so many Jason films? We get it! Nobody can kill him. You decapitate him, send him to space, or Hell, and even melt him in the toxic waste, yet he comes back like nothing happened to him. Blah. Blah. Yawn!

I cannot believe Jamie Lee Curtis is doing another Halloween sequel, even after Rob Zombie took over. Apart from III which is about a toy mask factory, the rest are about this guy named Michael Myers who is committed to an asylum, but escapes somehow. But like Jason, he is portrayed as invincible, because no matter what happens to him, he always returns. In fact, she dies in part 8. But they are choosing to ignore the majority of the sequels, and just count I and II. She must be like 900 by now. God! :(

that would be fun and exciting to maintain a huge music venue whats the name of your music venue ?

It was fun at first, but the industry is inherently filled with really manipulitive people who think of themselves as "cut throat". i wouldnt recomend it

I grew up in a rather conservative Christian home, my dad could be described as "fundamental baptist", for Halloween as a child I got to stand at the door...

As an adult I've never developed much of a taste for Halloween, in the last 10 years I've used that time of year to start working on a major Remembrance Day project I do every year...

It's Halloween hell 24/7 there. The holiday just gives them a reason to wear a mask. I've had people tell me I should write a book about my experiences. It would most definitely be interesting. I posted this on another thread, but it will give you an idea of some of the characters that I have to deal with. This was made in one of the frat houses I take care of:

That was probably one of the most bazaar things I have ever watched... In an ASD world that held no logic under any situation in any universe... I respect your sanity Sir! I don't wish to have your job. I will stick with my gripey boring snot nosed golf snobs... Geez that was just weird, but to each his own : )
