Short-term memory

First time the ATM swallowed my card cause I didnt know if it was done with it, it pulled it back in twice and then it never came out. I had to redeem my card the next day with a signature from the original bank to the one with the atm. Now I know to grab my card as soon as it comes out and the money too. The ATM is noisy but I usually can keep focus and am kinda on edge wary to not make mistakes.

Maybe you can change the place you eat and drink in, and diet too, since coffee regularly doesnt seem to improve your attention anyway even being a stimulant of the mind. Im guessing its short termed. How about drink coffee before going to an atm, might improve focus? [unless you already did it in that order] Idk, you know if the effect helps you.

Other places may accept payment with the card, without you needing to extract money from an ATM, so they just extract the money directly off your card. The benefit is they take only the amount, so you never lose the change that they cannot pay you, if for example it is like 3,99 and you get a 0,01 every time you purchase something of such a total sum. And if they don't sell coffee, at least you had it at home.

I would google "rote memory" if I were you. This will answer your question quite well. In my home, I manage everything by a checklist when it comes to daily chores and even my own hygiene. However, I do not use oil change stickers in my wife's nor my vehicle because I remember the exact odometer reading when I change the oil. The furnace filter and all appliance maintenance for that matter I keep perfectly without a list. How much money is in my account? I have no idea. My wife handles that because it is a daily thing. All ASD individuals are different but we share memory characteristics in most cases.
I have my hygiene routine written on my bathroom mirror in dry erase marker. I keep a dry erase board in several rooms and printed list of daily tasks on the refrigerator. Yet, I can remember the address and phone number of the house I lived in when I was a child.
If this daily memory concern does seem to be getting worse it may be worth a visit to a doctor though. Changes in memory can point to health concerns.

This morning has been the worst ever. I left home with wallet, phone and got to McDonald's but when I got to the counter I tripped over and the woman assistant saw and came to help. After I ordered the meal my Wallet was not in the pocket of my shorts. There was nothing on the mat. I didn't think about it at the time, went back home, nothing indoors, also nothing on the roads. Went back to McDonalds because then I thought it must have fallen out onto the mat and maybe quickly some one had either handed it in or someone behind me saw and just grabbed it? They denied anything handed in and the manager came out and said nothing was there. My friend says go back there and ask to see their CCTV so I can be sure. The wallet has my disability bus pass, autism awareness card and my bank card so now I am just going to the bank because I have to cancel everything.

Wow, that sounds like a difficult thing to solve. I wish you good luck, and I hope you can see what happened to your wallet. Maybe post on facebook with 'lost wallet' since newspaper would cost and require more work. Maybe join a group of lost items from your area, if there is.

Good news! It was returned to me this afternoon by a neighbour. I had dropped it in our road. There hadn't been any money in it to lose. We cancelled the credit card at the bank and ordered a new bus pass replacement which cost £10. I am quite calm now and settling down to watch Mumbai Indians v Kings XI.
