Sensory Sock

Haven't tried one but I think it might make me irritated or panicky -- constriction of movement without adequate weight makes me irritated and/or panicky.

It's one of the reason I don't wear snug-fitting clothes besides socks ....and I am extremely picky about my socks.

Never tried one, but, I feel it would just make me feel constricted also. I do like a soft blanket to wrap up in though. Can't sleep without it.

I won't sold on it because I wear nothing but really liked it. Everyone's different tI guess.

I think would love it if it were really, really heavy.

When I try to wear snug clothes it seems like my brain can't comprehend how suddenly there is something messing up movement and getting in the way.....I think all I register properly is the tactile part of snug clothes because I have proprioceptive hyposensitivity (most clothes are not heavy enough for me to register them as really having any weight at all), so it's seriously disorienting...my brain is like "Emergency! Emergency! The limbs aren't moving normally, AND THERE IS NO APPARENT REASON!!!!"

Sorry if I seemed to be putting down the sensory sock. I think I should also apologize because I didn't show appreciation for your excitement and enthusiasm -- I overlooked how awesome an experience it is for you.....:(

I'm really happy you found something that is so amazing for you! :)

Nah it's fine. Don't be sorry I know it's not for everyone. I was more posting incase it would benefit anyone here. As I have only just found out about them.

That's very intriguing. I don't think I would be against trying one; but with my luck, someone would probably ring my doorbell at the exact time I sensory-suit up, and I'd try to run away, only to take a dramatic fall. So if I do try one, note to myself, I shouldn't be home alone.

It reminds me of something, but I can't remember what.

I have a feeling the constriction is somewhat similar to the compression garments we once discussed for burn victims and EDS sufferers.

Yeah I imagine they are. Fortunately I was at collage trying one so some one else can get the door.

It's not as expensive as other things, so it might be worth exploring for a few of us. Thanks for posting!

And I found what it reminded me of ;)
Snowsuit.webp

I think it's just supposed to be a snowsuit and they were being funny with the design, but yeah... it definitely looks like that, at least from my perspective.
