Self Deprecating Humor

Slightly off topic but when I don't fit into pigeon hole it's similar in that society views woman as 'typical' so it's difficult for men to meet you ND realise the difference, but I'm straight forward now: don't do that or watch how you address me. Otherwise I feel I'm depreciating. I really don't care what is trending, there is no way to get me into more than half those positions. It's difficult being asexual because my role is so different. People usually taken back because I'm strongly opposed to toxic beauty standards or way woman depreciate themselves by agreeing to these roles.

As some point the outline of the roles becomes evident, it is not healthy for a woman to be too friendly or nice (asd problem) better to be aloof. I still struggle to decide which guys are chatting as friends or with intentions, so time usually indication. Met wonderful men where we could just chat for hours. knowing myself and my social limitations is simplistic I don't go to such places, not willing to engage in new things. Learnt this quickly.

Apparently narcissistic abuse experienced during childhood leads to self depreciating humor.

Personally, I feel that self-deprecating humor requires a healthly cynicism, "self deprecating humor is fine to a point - yet can quickly become no laughing matter!"
