Same routine, but........

So, I have this routine with cleaning, otherwise, I would get completely overwhelmed and absolutely nothing changed and yet, in our unrenovated bathroom, there I was, vacuuming the floor and then next thing, this door that was else where in the house, being used to hang up a handy caddy ( until we get the bathroom sorted out), just fell and oh my goodness me, the MESS! I could have sat down and cried because it meant, to be honest, that my obsession was going to take even longer to sedate or pacify - cross stitching - it was awful and it took all my inner strength to actually get cleaning and oh how I wish I had a magic wand lol

Well, I succeed and nearly burst out LAUGHING with the thought that popped into my mind: well Suzanne, you have been looking at this very untidy caddy and not having the heart to get down to sorting things out and so, well take it has a positive!

When hubs comes home, he will notice, because he has way too much medicines out and they are up high, due to him being tall and me being small and so, he will see things in a bit of a mess; but considering what the room did look like, I give myself an award lol

Don't know why I am sharing this, but well, there you go!

for random "i dunno why i'm sharing this" purposes..... i reply in kind
while reading this i just kept picturing a southern alabama woman, around 100yrs old with a very deep thick accent telling me the whole story you just typed out while rocking in her chair on what remains of her southern plantation mansion because her late husband was a slave owner at the time so when the "help" was freed the whole place went to shambles so she was pennyless but lived there because it was the only place she knew

somebody needs to paint that now that i read it lol

What a cacophony that crash must have made, Suzanne! I can sympathize with the caddy falling creating a crimp in your cleaning routine, too. I'm glad it's sorted out now. Now you can cross stitch! Wheeeee! :)

I understand you on the cleaning issue, I get really overwhelmed, I hate washing dishes, but I hate seeing them dirty, but because I get so overwhelmed with the dishes I end up not doing it which makes my anxiety worse, so basically I am working against myself.

I too am stuck in this cycle. Everything takes hours. I have a dishwasher now but I'm so anal about the order it's stacked in it takes ages to do still. I just wish someone else understood my 'system' for these things so they could help and speed things up but I have to do it myself to know it's done my way. It's got so bad I had to leave my job. I just don't have the time for it all anymore. I am starting to fear I may be crossing a line into OCD :, (
