The answer is no to the question in the riddle, so you sort of win. It is a different version I created of the Harvard riddle, where 85% of those intellectual persons there got it wrong, but where children answered it mostly correctly.

Most may need another clue, as to me your riddle seems a bit harder because of the "living thing without it's dinner" part. Also, one side resembles an Instrument and the rest it seems to be mostly hair, with it functioning like an instrument too, no answer seems obvious. I thought of a musical bow as possibly an answer, as part of that is hair, and it is like a bow and arrow which could tie into dinner and some possible answer somehow, but ruled that out, when said only one side resembles an instrument. Also, the word instrument may or may not refer to musical instrument. So, @FayetheAspie if either you can give another hint or if you prefer to give the answer. Let you choose.
