research study situation inquiry

I had completed a research study and got a request for my interview to be used in publications- podcasts, maybe even video presentations and such.

I replied asking for some kind of compensation- at least a gift card.

The study basically dealt with my struggles being on the spectrum and how I work through those issues.
I don't even remember if I had said anything about troubles at work, and in the contract, it specifies that they can share stuff with my company.

My current company that I'm with is through a program that I got enrolled in based on the diagnosis. They do have their own way of publicizing internally and possibly slightly externally. I'm not usually a fan or putting myself out there to be embarrassed or to be judged with a label of a permanent scar. Sure, I know I will be put in a positive light, and i can speak extremely eloquently. A part of me wants to do it because it could be a "once in a lifetime" opportunity. Another part of me doesn't want to because my face could be all over the place and I might feel used. I do think if some people just saw me, I would stand out.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.
