Religion shaming

Is there a new rule that everyone is forced to agree to comment in the religion section? I don't come here 7 days a week 12 months of the year

@dadko20 I like the sincerity of your posts in this thread. I have never seen your name before on this forum. I don't venture out much beyond here.

I liked this forum and stayed away from others that seemed to judge autistics like by the questions asked on actual Christian forums. Using code names for autistics, come on. Not safe or welcoming to stay.
Some forums I would not give time of day. Some you say it is not everywhere you are intended to go as a Christian let's say.
Sometimes rarely you may see things you wish you never. What would Jesus do and what would Jesus say for his followers. We all have our issues here and our trying. But if there is a prescence at times would it thought somewhere to continue if Christanity as well is not being respected.

I came back to edit, too late. It is not just code names, other religious Christian forums tend not to accept autism and want to cure it. We do have something special here at times for sure. Sometimes you even though when things can get challenging here think what would Jesus do.
You look at the impact on you when things may get stressful. I think I will remain thankful for it existing but respect and staying away from bad prescences are paramount as well.

Thank you, not sure what you mean I must say. I would feel though like may be I have done a full 360 going back to studying about all religions again as my major in university was on Religion and the course lasted 4 years for me. For my lived life now I am interested more in what I believe in and Abrahamic religions as well mostly. I still though time to time read up on other religions, my commitment those is for my faith.

Your other idea though some ideologies view of autism sounds interesting to me so thanks for posting it as I am looking for new things to explore and have never heard of this. Thank you.

For me it's not religion anyway, is more interesting than that, i understand
people don't have faith.

But why i should be ashamed of positive comments made about my faith.
For me it's an important part of my life.

Funny because you can talk about suicide, sexual stuff, some other depraved stuff maybe, alcohol and drugs.

I think this society, is more than becoming secular, is even becoming a bit 'satanic'.

I'm guessing your topic on this thread comes from specific prior related experiences here. For the reader new to the issues mentioned, I don't know to what you're specifically referring to.

In regards to this society becoming more than secular. You could have a valid point. Often with things in life, perhaps it's even human nature, over-correction happens in reaction or response to certain things.

You ask, rhetorically I assume, why you should be "ashamed of positive comments made about your faith". I don't know what you mean by that exactly or when or how someone shamed you about positive comments made about your faith, but that's unfortunate if someone did shame you and hopefully it doesn't happen again. I don't mean this to slight your faith, I mean it as an objective statement, but I've surmised that fundamental underpinnings of Christianity include: Fear, Guilt and Shame. I don't mean that the faith is built entirely on those three foundational aspects, but I'd be interested in what anyone would say as to why they don't think those three things are a basis of the faith. I bring this up because you mention shame in your post or being shamed or feeling ashamed, etc.

I agree, that life experiences tend to humble people. Emotionally intelligent people tend to be the most humble. Of course some people become or remain nasty, but most people become kinder as they develop emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is something that develops later than other parts of intelligence (or so I've read), so I believe it to be tied to wisdom. I see it both a physical (brain development) and gaining wisdom from life experiences (learning to "pick your battles").
No emotionally mature person should be offended or need the feel to be rude to you for mentioning your faith. I don't mean here those that are actively trying to convert others who don't want to be bothered, but just sharing your good feelings about your faith shouldn't bother any emotionally matured person. Emotionally immature people want others to change without looking in their own mirrors, and pick fights all around. But likely learn later it's impossible control others, but only one's own reactions to others.

Let’s assume we noting about any posters. If you are a Christian God remains our only judge and knows are heart and intent and it can be a sin to judge others. Misinterpations can be made and especially I would say on this forum considering it is on a autistic website. Me myself I don’t groove at times when it is not clear with one liners given to me. No one is to judge any persons faith and my intent has always been to try to be of help and be myself. A simple song choice may be offensive to some people. My playlist is mixed and for example I can listen to some obvious Christian traditional songs but sometimes too are inspired by others that wasn't intended to be a Christian praise song.

It is difficult and you ask yourself do you want to be a part of it. I am certain we all carry enough of our real problems as it is in life as it is and no one wants additional strain from the internet.

Simply my Christian faith is the most important thing to me. I have mostly enjoyed being on this forum but I also long for the solitude as well for returning to the nucleus of my family in faith. This means me and my Bible. I find it at this moment it too stressful and considering this section.

Be safe and we have our own bottom line as so it should be. How can God judge on two Christians I presume on a forum, it is too bizarre for me.

I was under the impression also this was connected to a major Christian website a sister site, but it is not and knowing that now will sit on it and pause on that. If you are a Christian there is a need for unity. I took everyone as kin and shared thoughts from my heart, but you always need to be on guard and not everyone is quite different. I am sure some sit here to processing bad days to vent,

My playlist is mixed and for example I can listen to some obvious Christian traditional songs but sometimes too are inspired by others that wasn't intended to be a Christian praise song.

Peace and blessings. This may be a bit off topic, but reminded me of one of my favorite inspirational songs titled the "Syrian Army of Christ" (you can find it with English subtitles on YouTube). It's a song written by Ali Barakat, a Muslim song-writer, and it was dedicated to his Christian brothers-in-arms, from the time when the Muslims and the Christians of Syria were fighting together against the oppression of the Daesh.
I think it's a beautiful and strong inspirational song, if you like Arabic style music (I do!). Though it's evident that it comes from his Islamic perspective of Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him), but I think it's a beautiful song for the Christians too. I've sent it to my Christian friend and he loved the song very much, he said it symbolizes the struggles of life for him personally.
I also like songs that praise God, Quranic or not, they're emotional songs for me. It doesn't matter to me from which religion they are, if they're inspirational. I love God, so they make me very emotional. For me too, God is the centre of my life, almost all I have left to lean on.

P.S. I have no idea about the background of this particular conversation, or any possible drama that has been here or elsewhere about religions or any other thing, but nevertheless may God bless you and hopefully things will solve out nevertheless.

You know before I started posting I went through past posts and didn't want to repeat and was looking to get an idea of things what is going on. Also, where you can you will look and see if something exists so you can bump it. You know it I saw a post by your name saying similar and I will like hmmm, means unsure. I can see your issue back then having stayed some time. Nobody is perfect though.
I think here people should open their own posts as has been done today to avoid things that have been going on in threads.
I studied religious studies I have my beliefs and other people have their own. We are all entiteld to it and should be able to be respected. There is evil and you just have to be on guard.

I thought it might be helpful to go through my posts in this post and explain them for any misunderstanding someone has had and then I need to move on from this thread.

I will start with the post above. I think most people would agree there is nothing of offense to anyone in the quoted post above. There was a peaceful suggestion and a poster created their own thread to discuss their religious thoughts and when I saw it I thought it was a good idea.

I think here you can you forget you're even discussing about religion sometimes which is meant to be a controversial topic lol. It is like neutralised here like you're with kin and just sharing with them. Religion and politics are controversial issues in the real world. We may be a bit nieve at times on here a bubble as such. I will explain this a bit more. When I see things like autism having the mark of the beast or 666 on others and less familiar threads in the autism sections of some Christian forums like that etc sometimes it made me draw back a bit and make me less comfortable to post in that section more comfortably. This was something that happened to me definetly in the past. This doesn't pertain to any other section or debate by anyone or any criticism of anyone. I open very limited sections as it is anyway and read selectively to my interests. I used to browse the city data forum on religion section for example but it found not helpful to me so decided not to revisit.

What would Jesus do and what would Jesus say?
I thought I would address this what I meant.
Jesus told his disciples when to withrdraw from some places and people need to make judgement calls themselves and the original post seemed to be about this topic deciding if to stay or go pretty much.

This is just one Bible reference along that sort of line for example -
Jesus also told his disciples sometimes go to receptive communities and places to avoid.

This is from Luke 9

I have covered a lot of this and this at that time was based on me opening a subsection and seeing several posts on being healed etc. I am commenting on my thoughts from then.

People with autism here on this forum are pretty much free to express themselves as they are and it is more about self acceptance than healing etc.

My thoughts are the internet can be terrible at times. Some people can be really good and you just don't know who they are. You cannot see that person and you don't know their intent unless they tell you and your mind will start wandering all over. My language I have said isn't the best, may be some people have a hard understanding me sometimes and I don't understand somethings as well.

I am not the sort of the person that likes to be involved in anything. I wouldn't like my face to among who like Jesus was looking at in a dispute. I wouldn't like my face to be in that crowd. I would like to be far from it. My parents my dad is 80 and my mum is in her mid 70s. I have the most respect for people more older than myself. My sister is older than me, just three years between us and I give her always first born rights.

I had a look at City data in review today. My goodness that forum topics are the worst ever in my opinion in the Christian forum. Unless you are strong I would never advice going there. I went there and was communicating with a man who used to a Christian but became athesist. One day I felt something demonic had breathed in my face. I had to go. Just looking at the topics it's enough.

Indeed, the internet can be horrible, and tends to bring out the worst in people. Especially anonymity and physical distance to others online brings out the worst in people because they won't have to worry about consequences when saying nasty things. I'd think most of them wouldn't be so nasty towards others if they had to be face-to-face. Some would, but not most probably. I don't have much online presence (not on social media platforms etc.) because I don't want everything ruined for me online. It's depressing for me to see the constant fighting online, people fighting over everything that's not even important really. Takes my energy away from the most important things in life, so I've decided not to be on social media after spending a long time off social media, in a positive environment. It has had a big positive effect on my mental health to withdraw from the social media platforms especially.
Don't worry about language skills. You're good! I'm bad at learning other languages than my own, and of course make constant mistakes in other languages. I often need to use google many times when writing or reading English. Sometimes the opposite: I'm even bad at finding the right words in my own language and need to ask people how to translate a word I know from other languages to my own (knowing the meaning of the word, but not knowing the word in my own language). So I'm a linguistic mess.

Really good post, I agree with you and thank you. I was reading your posts a few days ago but I was not in the headspace to reply to anything. Can you imagine you could be in a miscommunication with someone who is a great grand mother for example and for me that is not to be done. In real life you would give them your seat and respect and everything.

Yeah, focusing on God helps to keep positive. The evil entities always try to whisper in our ears in so many ways to separate us from the Creator, but the Almighty God is more powerful than any evil entities or rude ignorant people. Blessings to you.
