Post your computer specs

MacBook Pro 2012 with 8GB of RAM.
Same here. 13" i7 version. The extra RAM is awesome, but I'm looking to upgrade my HDD...750GB isn't really enough (and one day I mysteriously lost 100GB of it...no idea what's up with that!)

8 yr old 14" Toshiba Tecra A6 laptop. Intel Centrino Duo 1.66GHz. Win XP. Has a dying ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. Upgraded HD to a 7200rpm WDC 500GB which I partitioned to get a scratch disk and maxed memory to 2.5GB, but it really is getting to end of life.

At the end of the month, I want to upgrade to something that will handle editing photos and video better. Thinking of a Toshiba Qosmio. But sometimes I wonder about going for a MacBook. Any thoughts?

for anyone wondering, yes yes it is a laptop, hence the bricks and m series gpus.

Oh, just to mention...on my mid-2012 MB pro, I discovered the reason behind my disappearing HD space was due to itunes deciding to make duplicate libraries of itself. I suspect this is due to a couple of programs—Spotify, and Vox—attempting to access it, and my allowing them to do so. This seems like a very weird and unnecessary bug, but I intend to pay close attention to it in future...and of course, warn others of this potentiality.

Currently using a 3.3 GHz i7, DDR 3 ram running at 1800 speed. Sata3 drives including one SS drive. Nvidia 460 Geforce. The gfx card is a bit old but I don't need speed so much.
Considering a future upgrade to one of the Haswell's.
