Right now life just feel like poker chips. I am at casino in Vegas, and l am rolling my dice, but l know the cards l hold. Do you feel life is just luck of the draw? Like how many poker chips were you awarded with?

Are you literally at a casino or metaphorical? If it's literal, have fun!

Regardless of religious belief, I think the Parable of the Talents explains it well. Some of us are blessed. Some of us start out with nothing. But all of us are obligated to make the most of what we do have. Then there's also Parable of the Goats & Sheep - we are all equal in the end.

Aspychata doesn't sound like a casino crowd person so I'll assume it's metaphorical. :)

Yes, it does feel like that sometimes, but there is always something we can do, even if small, that makes a difference.

Well, so much of life is the luck of the draw, but my family (parents, aunts, uncles cousins) grew up playing poker and would clean you out if you didn't know how to play your hand and I knew that life doesn't treat you 'cause you work for what you get. I've played the hand life gave me to the max, including having the discipline to mature socially enough to attract a valuable woman. I cashed all my chips for her and it was one of my best investments in my future.

We don't choose the family we are born into, and ultimately of course how they raise us...

As adults we can become whatever we want (within reason)

I have sometimes thought that some people seem to have born with a "silver spoon", they seem to have the best life and all the luck that I don't seem to have

But all the same, life is making the best of what we do have, and not falling into envy of others (something I struggle with)

On occasion I admit that life can seem more like a case of Russian Roulette.

It's not an easy existence for so many, if not all of us at times.

Right out of the film, "The Deer Hunter".

It's like our parents, our connections, our life story, how we come across, our intelligence level, it's all a crap shoot, l feel so insignificant at times.

I made my own poker chips using wood discs from a craft store and painted the values on. It was cheap and kind of fun to customize them how I wanted.

You get dealt a hand, but how you play it can change a lot. On 먹튀갤, people often talk about luck and strategy in online casino games, and it kind of hits the same way with life. You might not control the cards, but how you bet them? That’s on you. Sometimes you win big, sometimes you lose, but you keep playing the hand you're dealt.

I used to sort mine by color and texture in little drawers just because it felt nice and calming. Touching and stacking them became part of my chill-out routine.

Metaphysically speaking much of our existence on this temporary plane is quite deliberate by design.

One we crafted with guidance while on our primary plane of existence. That the number of those poker chips we all play with is precisely what we drew from the house to begin with. No more, no less, but different amounts for different souls and their objectives while here. ;)

As an association I thought to share my lucky charm I have kept inside my wallet for about 35 years. Not sure if it has worked, but it does remind me that "the house always wins"...

I came across this older discussion and wanted to add that newer builds have been pretty smooth lately. If anyone here has tried the most recent update, did you notice any changes in loading speed or stability? I’m curious whether it’s worth switching from the version I’m currently using.
