Lake Monster? The Gila Monster. Yes they do swim. And I've seen them on especially hot days, cooling off underwater. You had to look for them in our old creek. And it's so weird, because the way you get a Gila Monster to loosen its bite, I've always heard, is to submerge them. But there you go. They do like water. A lot.
