I am talking about the annual annoying All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey and White Christmas under the Christmas tree by Kelly Clarkson that dribble.

Right here Christmas wrapping by the waitresses and Billy Squier Christmas is the time to say I love you. Maybe some Lo-Fi Christmas. No more than the mainstream slop.

Yeah, I've been listening to some Synthwave Christmas songs as a break from the usual stuff; giving me that feeling of Anemoia (nostalgia for an era I never lived in).

I may be showing my age, but one of the fondest memories when I was a child was watching those claymation Christmas shows like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, The Little Drummer Boy, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc. My wife and I were scanning Netflix the other day... and there they all were. Burl Ives as the Snowman and narrator... and of course... singing Holly Jolly Christmas.

I paused on the Netflix and acted like I wanted to actually watch them again as an adult... my wife vehemently said "No", and I just laughed inside. I was just trying to get a reaction from her... and it worked.

We are hosting Christmas at our house this year... so... the tree will be put up tomorrow. No Christmas music though.

I meant to say that "is" me, and therefore it's one that I obviously don't hate. Oops.

My acquaintances in the band Jimmyeatworld redid "Last Christmas" about a decade or more ago, and even they got sick of hearing or playing it after the first full year. Tom got heated the last time I inquired about it, haha.
