I wanted to start an archive on actual historic evidence of x-files that can't be disputed exist.
Here are 5 x US taxpayer funded paranormal research projects in 5 x prestigious US universities
5 Real Paranormal Studies Conducted by U.S. Universities
three of these are worth investigating purely from a historical perspective.
1. Cornell precognition study
APA PsycNet
In a basic memory experiment, Prof Daryl Bern from Cornell gave a group of participants a list of words to remember. Once they’ve had chance to try and commit the list to memory, he gave them a bit of a break, or asked them to do some sort of distractor task. Finally, he then give them a larger list of words – some of which they saw in the original list, some of which are new – and get them to say whether they recognise the words or not.
Bem’s study flipped this idea on its head across a number of different experiments. In one such test, he got participants to read a list of 48 words, and then immediately asked them to write down as many as they could remember. Then, he gave the participants a random subset of 24 words from the original 48, and asked them to type them out on a computer screen. In other words, the recall session came before the practice session. At face value, Bem’s findings were remarkable: he reported that in the initial recall test, participants seemed better at remembering words that they would see in the later practice session, than words that they wouldn’t see later on. In other words, people were better at recalling words that they would be told to remember in the future.

Psychic Criminology: A Guide for Using Psychics in Investigations, Second Edition | Office of Justice Programs
Studies in psychic abilities generated an published guide for using psychics in police investigations
Despite ridicule, police in the US continue to use psychics to help in criminal investigations
3. CIA and Stanford University SRI investigation into remote viewing
Follow‐up on the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA) remote viewing experiments☆ - PMC.
what's interesting is exhaustive peer reviewed investigation of remote viewing (psychic) research conducted between the CIA and the Stanford Research Institute back in the 1970s demonstrate
1. that emotions could directly or indirectly precipitate anomalous cognitions (and perhaps even other psi‐related cognitions)
2. the findings from SRI and CIA yielded above‐chance results.
Of course reproducibility is a hallmark of the scientific method and it would be great if more funding could be made available to replicate ethe findings from these peer reviewed studies.
