I just found out that one of my coworkers got fired about a week ago. He'd been transferred to another department so we didn't really see each other very much. He'd been there over 10 years and was an excellent worker. Apparently someone did not like him for some reason, because he told a friend that he thought he was being set up to fail. Then they started calling him into the office and telling him he was making too many mistakes. He said, show me the mistakes I am making. They would not do it. Shortly after that he was fired. Several of his colleagues tried to stick up for him and save his job but it did no good.
And then management wonders why there is so much paranoia at work!!!!
