I love the band, my fav song's, well, 'What's the Story Morning Glory', I hooked on the catchy tune and dreamy sing-sleepwalking.

What's your favorite song?
 
Yes, Wonderwall is classic, also how I "discovered" Oasis. :)

This is a band I really liked during my brief Oasis phase. Vaguely similar, but not really.
Either way, maybe you'll like them if you haven't heard of them.

Oasis was my favorite band between the ages of ten and twelve or so; I started listening to them not long after their album (What's the Story) Morning Glory? came out.

My sister had a (What's the Story) Morning Glory? cassette. One day when she wasn't home I decided to stick it into my Walkman for the heck of it and really liked what I heard. After listening to a few tracks I took my sister's tape into the living room before she got home and made a copy of it for myself (yup - I've been a pirate for more than half my life :P). Between the ages of 10-12 I likely listened to that album on my Walkman 500+ times.

Some of my favorite tracks from that album are:

  • Cast No Shadow
  • Champagne Supernova
  • Hello
  • Wonderwall

I'll probably listen to that album tonight; haven't listened to it in years.

Oh, actually, i only like Oasis' first two albums best.

My favorite song from the first album? Supersonic. It's ironically the second album I knew about Oasis. (Wonderwall did the trick)

They probably were a few more years and a few more albums from reaching Beatles' iconic status. They had the talent, but clearly what inspired Noel and Liam eventually both wrecked the band of brothers.

Oh Droopy. I'll love to watch these vids. We'll know how Noel feels differently from his more laid-back brother.
 
Oasis were never really my cup of tea because I never really liked their style but one song I do love is Cigarettes and Alcohol.
