NT Logic? Overcomplicated Tasks

Hi everybody,

Have you ever been asked to carry out a specific task and how they want it done but their way of getting the job done overcomplicated the task more than it should?

This happened to me earlier today in work and it started to drive me crazy. I did complete the task they wanted, however, all the way through I couldn't stop thinking about how floored their way of completing the task was.

Yes but I've also had people claim my way of doing things was overly complicated -- or that my way is "the hard way" and their way is "the easy way" (while in my view it is the other way around).

I think a lot of the time it's really just differences in how people think and what our skills are -- we all rely on our strengths and do things using methods that are simplest or quickest or make most sense to us, and what makes sense or is simplest/quickest/easiest is different from person to person.
