Interesting article. Though not particularly good to hear that computer coding may be on the way out via "automation of automation". Yet I've seen this trend on the increase for some time now. Inevitable I suppose.

Interesting theory by Mark Cuban.

"So a new skill will become more in-demand than it ever has been: creative thinking.

I personally think there's going to be a greater demand in 10 years for liberal arts majors than there were for programming majors and maybe even engineering, he said. When the data is all being spit out for you for you, options are being spit out for you, you need a different perspective in order to have a different view of the data.

In particular, experts in philosophy or foreign languages will ultimately command the most interest from employers in the next decade, Cuban said."

I'd be screwed then. No matter how hard I've tried, I can't get to grips with learning a new language. I did German in high school, and also Welsh (compulsory to to a MFL and Welsh here). Both for 5 years and I can't speak either.

You probably could if you resided in those areas for a while.

I am terrible with languages, but living in France, I can just about speak and understand a bit and that is after like 15 year's of being here.

I live in Wales, and always have. Still can't speak Welsh

Ah, but have you ever lived in Caernarfon? Even the teenagers in hoodies loitering on street corners speak Welsh to each other!

Or you could just watch "Pobol y cwm" continuously for several weeks, until your brain absorbs the language. Of course, there might not be much left of your brain by that time...

To be fair, I am from Cardiff, and it's the only place I've ever lived. You do hear Welsh spoken, but not as often as other parts. I couldn't bring myself to watch Pobl y Cwm, having watched some here and there with subtitles

I did French and Spanish at school, and apart from the very basics I've forgot most of both.

I could still just about order a drink in French though, "Je Voudrais un Biere sil vous plait?" and for Dad "Je Voudrais un juice de L'Orange sil vous plait".
