I enjoy natural, healthly foods requiring a minimum of preparation - homemade is the way to go.

I enjoy mac-and-chesse hot - yet, I'm considering pasta-dishes that are best cold esp. with an upcoming heat-wave - food not requiring cooking in order to avoid heating-up the kithcen cia stove/oven. I'll purchase a bowl of pesto-pasta from our local Italian deli.

I'm a big fan of pasta but haven't gone for macaroni (no particular reason). Gnocchi is probably my favourite.

Home-made, using the classic Velveeta recipe.

M&C casseroles my mom made always had bread crumbs on top, and sometimes diced and cooked Spam* inside.

(*Including Spam in a Mac & Cheese casserole is akin to blasphemy for some people.)

Sadly, I cannot find Velveeta in the Philippines anywhere outside the Mall of Asia in Manila, ~72km away.

Pasta has to be cooked before you turn it into pasta salad. I like pasta salads and make them often in summer. Today, I'll make a salad with orzo, corn, chickpeas, kalamata olives, red onion, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, marinated artichoke hearts, pearl mozzarella or feta cheese, fresh mint and basil, red wine vinegar, olive oil, dried oregano, and whatever else I find in the fridge and pantry to add to it such as small cubes of pepperoni or salami. Keeps for days in the fridge and a bowl of it will fill me up.
