Lost my grandmother

Hey, it’s been awhile. I’ve been very busy with work and haven’t posted in a long time. I’m really struggling right now because this Friday, I lost my grandma. It’s been so hard these past couple of days. I feel so alone and sad. I’m trying not to feel sad and depressed by distractions such as work and spending time with my family. I wanted to ask for some advice and help with how to deal with this loss. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post if you get this far. Sending love to you!

I'm sorry to hear this, Daisy. I would say just take each day/moment as it comes and don't feel bad about feeling bad. We all experience this, though that doesn't make it easy. I find the best way for me is accepting grief as it comes. The initial sadness might pass, but it doesn't mean I won't feel sad about the same loss in the future. And that's okay too. It helps me appreciate the person's life and their place in my life.

Sorry to hear this. At least you do have other family members to be there for you and one another. Be gentle to yourself.

I’m sorry for your loss. It’s okay to be sad and to sit with your sadness. Being active and engaged is good. So is sitting quietly and feeling the sadness and the good memories.

It's a mean world that takes a grandmother away. l would do anything to bring my dear grandma back. Maybe it's helpful to acknowledge the grief you need to feel? I cherish all my memories of her.

Very sad to hear this. My grandmother is my most important family member so I would be devastated too.
Sending hugs and thinking of you.

I'm so sorry about your loss. I pray that the Lord will comfort you during this time.

Maybe you can do some art work dedicated to your memories of her, then it's a living memorial that you can celebrate her life everyday.

Really sorry to learn about the loss of your grandmother.

Something that helps me is the memory of their life and all the wonderful things they did. Therefore, I consider that they did not die - They graduated.

I understand. I lost my dad this year, and every time I think of him, I feel so alone.

I'm truly sorry about your gramma. Hugs.

I wanted to thank everyone who send their condolences and support. I really appreciate it at this time. This will help me keep going and continue to be nice to others. Thank you.
