I shoveled a metric ton of snow.

No jokes, we had a little storm rip through last night and kindly give us about 30cm's of snow. Took the better part of 2 hours to get the the cars shoveled out and the walk to drive way and other entrances to and from the house. But I'd been piling it all in one spot and given the size, I would genuinely think it was likely at least an actual metric ton if not more. Slow and steady on stuff like that folks. Same with all big things in life.

I finally got one of my old cats to come in the house last night. It was windy and raining with a major cold front moving in so I kind of freaked out when she didn't come home for her supper. She showed up about 9:00 pm, howling for her food and racing around the house like a feral!

Started at 4:30 am, went to 8:00 am work started. Heading out to do a few homes over lunch. We have so many clients needing shoveling and so few snow angels. I sure wish others would step up because I get overwhelmed with requests when we have snow events like this.

Did you weigh it?😏

Comforted my best friend who is really struggling with anxiety, now making breakfast for him and my husband (I think that counts as “one thing” because it’s still comforting him)

Got up early and went my auto salvage yard to meet up with my employee that puts them in the book. Bought 6 yesterday and he put them in the books. Waited for the customer to inspect the front clip of one I bought, he liked it tearing it down himself with a friend of his

I did not weigh what I shoveled, but this is the first time this year I tossed the electric snow blower in the truck with a bunch of extension cords. It was the only way I could do the larger driveways on my own. I also snapped my favourite shovel in half, which annoyed me because I finished the evening with my crappy backup one.

Still in Medicare hell. Told to just sit and wait, and wait and wait for a phone call and resolution to a simple problem that never seems to be solved. They are burning me out.
