An elderly man I know died. Funeral is Monday and includes a potluck lunch at church so I went to the store and bought a big chuck roast to cook in the crockpot, frozen hashbrown potatoes to make "funeral potatoes" (seriously, that's what everyone calls hashbrown potato casseroles) and ingredients to make a big green salad.

I disassembled a very unusual shower faucet that quit working, and managed to jury-rig things sufficiently until I can get parts.

Went to breakfast with a few veteran friends of mine, I did 6 years in the Marines. Ended after I was raped by another soldier which there was nothing done about it swept under the rug. They were there for me when I came home and supported me through my recovery. Family was there for me too

The faucet is a MOEN, with a lifetime guarantee. My small-town hardware store had the free replacement I needed, even though the newer units are installed differently. Now I have hot water as usual again.

Garden work.

So sorry to read this. I know your time on earth hasn't been easy. This should have never happened.

It should of never happened and I did not deserve it. There was a documentary on the sex crimes that happened in the military that was put out, The Invisible War. More awful stories like mine and my daughters did tear up watching it with me 4 years ago. Took me 2 years to recover from it
