Got the second shot for shingles vaccination.

My S.O. had a "mild" case is shingles once, and it was very unpleasant.

That second shot was a killer for me. I got a rash like chicken pox around the injection site and felt awful for a day and night. But the vaccination is worth the effort to reduce the severity of shingles if you ever get it. My sister-in-law spent numerous days in the hospital when she had shingles.

I hurts - not as much as a tetanus shot, but with some lingering soreness.

The med tech warned of a possible rash, but I didn't get the rash.

Much, much better than shingles!

Somehow I managed to annoy a wasp enough that it stung me four times on the hand while I was carrying in sacks of food.

Took my old cat to the vet to find out why she is having eye problems. The vet didn't have a specific diagnosis but prescribed some eye cream that I'm supposed to apply to her eyes twice a day. It is not easy to put the gooey eye cream on her eyes. One of us has to hold her down while the other one applies the cream. :(

I have a cat who was born without eyeballs.

Sometimes I have to use an ointment when there is irritation (very seldom).

I have found that if I rub the cat's ears and gently massage the head and eye area - with the ointment on my fingers when I do the eye area - the cat responds as if being groomed by a parent cat... and purrs up a storm.

Maybe this will help?

Meanwhile, I have finally finished sanding the two tagelharpa I'm building, and am designing the sound holes, currently.

I just refilled the hummingbird feeders and turned on a water sprinkler so they can fly back and forth through the water drops. Sometimes they perch on the tree branches and take a shower between trips to the feeders.

Okay, my day didn't have any hummingbirds sadly ,:( but l did get my teeth cleaned, it was a serious cleaning. The tech gaslit me however, l don't need to let it affect me. Happy Friday to the forum. May your day be cooler then 93 degrees in central FL.
