I'm a little disappointed. Because I have waited for spring since October, the winter was long and cold. Now it's May 5th and spring has still not started! It was below freezing outside last night. That means no spring this year. And I'll bet the summer will be short and cold. So that is disappointing.

I'm feeling tired yet very happy. I have spent my days relatively in bliss, engaging in music and fine food and good company with my fiance, playing Middle Earth: Shadow of War (we finished the first game a few months ago). Work is going well, and I am seeking accommodations. The weather is fine, also; I anticipate the bumble-bees and jumping-spiders to emerge and say hello.

In general life can give me no complaints, and I hope not to jinx it all, but I really do feel good.

I have to go to a social event tonight and am near terrified. I know how it's going to go and I know it will take a long time to recover, and anxiety has been building all day.

However, your post has given me strength and I already feel better!

Today was a wild one. I've been better last week or so but today was very depressing. I think I know what it takes to give me these kinds of days now, though--A little bit of politics, a little bit of stress in the house from other stuff. And boom I'm down for the count.
If I wake up early I'll be doing ok tomorrow though.

How did it go, @Ken?

It didn't go as bad as feared, almost enjoyable, but still elevated anxiety. I really don't think a no anxiety social visit is possible with me. It will take several days to settle, but this was one of the better ones.
