Yes. A pink spotted lady beetle. Also called a twelve-spotted lady beetle or Coleomegilla maculata to be precise.

A more accurate description would just be "curious person."

I really don't know about "most dogs."
But, I would certainly say "lots of dogs."
I've had 2 dogs of my own. They both naturally knew how to swim. Leela, who has passed, didn't love it. Rocky, who I have now, does.
