i didn't take a screenshot, but it guessed the isle of Man which is wrong as my location (definitely want to visit some time).
it covered most of England in fairly think red other than city's which i guess means my accent is such a mix that i could be from almost anywhere, my family are from Yorkshire and Lincolnshire but thankfully my accent is totally different. thanks for sharing.

I wish you luck with your official public announcement, and with your upcoming concerts (I just read about this on the 'straightedge') thread I hope your plans to organise other musicians to donate to help raise funds for autism awareness come to fruition.

Have you thought about making a recording (a song, or whole album even), and putting the money earned from the proceeds towards autism awareness? I think that this would also be a good way to raise awareness, you could reach a lot of people that way.

I hope this isn't incredibly naive, as I really don't know the ins and outs of the music business, it;s just an idea.

Even though I am American, the app thought I was from somewhere near Bedford or Bradford/Leeds area. That makes sense because most of my British friends are from those areas.

If I choose the most American sounding to me, then I get New Castle, Preston or, Stoke-on-Trent, it can't decide LOL.

I already knew I was on the spectrum, needed the Dx for my plans to have the best impact so, nothing changes as far as where I'm going or what I'm doing, just makes it more effective.

I've got plans to donate a lot of money to ASD support and services, but that will be mostly in 2017. The proceeds of one concert this year directly to existing services and support but, a lot more next year. A lot from this year will be going into expanding my personal contributions but, won't be going out into the world directly this year.

Too much is lacking as far as educational and employment opportunities for those on the spectrum and, I feel the best place to begin correcting that is within my own endeavors so, this year I need to expand my studio, and see that as many as possible get jobs either in the studio or on my crew, or get contracts for the work I do contract out to freelancers. I need to have ASD specifics as they relate to the jobs made a part of my own orientation for new employees program.

I can't ask the world to take me seriously if I am not putting my own business and money where my mouth is.

Thanks. I entirely agree that educational and employment opportunities are lacking for those on the spectrum. Attitudes need to change; people need to realise that not all people with ASD are Sheldon Cooper or Rainman. We are a wide range of people with a wide range of skills to offer. Unfortunately most employment opportunities for people with ASD tend to be focused around IT skills, but we are not all IT wizards, we have many skills to offer if employers would only be more accepting of our differences and give us the chance. If we knew that others were going to be more accepting, more of us would be willing to come out and be more open about our diagnosis, and that in turn would lead to greater understanding and acceptance.

Even if they are Sheldon Coopers and Rain man they may still have valuable skills and, with a bit of education and/or job training, could be amazing employees.

I could care less if my computer console man that handles all of the programmable LED lighting, backstage monitoring link ups and, satellite link ups for net casting or televising concerts is the best social butterfly or not - doesn't matter how or if he socializes or even talks at all in an interview - he can do the job I require of him and, that's what's important.

I don't care the DJ is worse than I am in interviews and, manages to embarrass me at social events, he is the best bass guitarist and sings a mean baritone too - I need him and his talent. So what that he's a bit lower functioning than I am and would probably have all of us and the audience too turning bright red if I let him do the talking too much - he's good and that's what matters. (Has no filter, does not take social cues at all and tends to be very explicit in an adult way when he gets to making jokes - or trying to at least. LOL )

I don't mind the non verbal graphics artist I contracted to do album covers and promo posters - she is an amazing graphics artist even though she isn't capable of living alone.

I want to hire more on the spectrum, as soon as I find them, that can do jobs I need done. I can't go 100% ASD though, odds are, I'd get accused of reverse discrimination and, that wouldn't be a good way to show that ASD and NT can work together, be productive and, content doing it and, get fabulous results.
