Islam and Narcissism

Hi, al-Salamu alaykom

Narcissism means you are focused on yourself. Muslim / Muslim means you are focused on something bigger than yourself; you are focused on Judgment Day.

Someone thought they are smarter than Allah, and that i should change Allah's word about Vengance and other things, like Christians and Jews do. But IMHO most of you (without pointing at anyone) are Narcisstsits, and it's needless to say i'm better as you are Islamophobic and incapeable of speaking in my and Allah's presence.

I'm just asking you to say "hi" to me. Say peace. If you feel bad talking to me and say hi or peace, that's your problem. I myself say hi to you now and in the past and my concience is good, but my body and heart and mind is hurting. And Prophet Mohammed (saws) say that we must identify ourself and seek knowledge.

(edit) Prophets and Believers suffer

Exactly what a narcissist would say.
Dualistic religions have opposites: righteous vs. sinful; saved vs. unsaved; good vs. bad. Dualistic religions are fear-based. Dualistic religions are exclusive vs. inclusive. Dualistic religions are parts vs. wholes. Dualistic religions are primitive and un-evolved. Dualistic religions are tribal and war-like. The gods and goddesses of dualistic religions are punitive and blood thirsty, vindictive and capricious. The gods and goddesses of dualistic religions are human-like in that they hold grudges, are unforgiving, and intolerant.

Non-dualistic religions are inclusive and are One Whole. The gods and goddesses of non-dualistic religions are unconditional in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of non-dualistic gods and goddesses are not predicated on what and how human beings are thinking, feeling, and acting. The characteristics of non-dualistic gods and goddesses are not created by fearful human beings. Non-dualistic gods and goddesses are beyond the human mind to comprehend and to understand.

At the risk of getting myself banned from this site, I feel that many religious people are extremely narcissistic no mater what religion they have, and see others who are secular as being inferior. I wish the human race would just smarten up and stop hating and fighting and having wars in the name of religion, but that's never going to happen. People are practically having a war over which side the toilet paper on a roll should be.

Maybe I'm being a little more optimistic, GrownupGirl, but I think that, gradually, peoples and societies are evolving from dualistic to non-dualistic thinking, feeling, behaving, and are also becoming more non-dualistically religious. I think that we are slowly, slightly evolving past fear-based thinking, feeling, and behaving. This evolution isn't happening, of course, without a lot of dualists yelling and screaming, kicking, and throwing fitful tantrums. They are afraid of change, but change is coming whether they are afraid or not.

Evolving comes via suffering and humankind has been suffering for eons. Suffering is slow just as is evolving. But we human beings are slowly becoming aware of why suffering happens, that it's out of our primitive, world views and our tribal ways of living and believing. Dualism is our past-to-present. Dualism is why we are war-like and why we destroy each other. Non-dualism is our present-to-future ways of becoming more, of becoming less dualistically afraid and becoming more non-dualistically, loving Universalists. Loving is getting rid of fear.

Wow ... 🙏🔥

There are such things as narcissistic breaks with reality.
For Narcissits yes. But not Muslims.

Muslims are like secret agent for CIA like @tree and me. Originally i'm scared and maybe masking. (edit) Scared is a good thing?

Masking, wearing a mask is like Hijab for a female and Mosque for a man.

7:27 ‘O Children of Adam! Do not let Satan tempt you, like he expelled your parents from paradise, stripping them of their garments to expose to them their nakedness. Indeed he sees you—he and his hosts—whence you do not see them. We have indeed made the devils friends of those who have no faith.’

there is a difference between being religious and having a faith. but i only know about Christianity. Christianity teaches humility which is an opposite of narcissism.

Plenty of Muslims - and Christians and Jews - are narcissists.
True.

These people are [Muslim and Christians and Jews] but also [Narcissists]. That means they are double-faced or hypocrits.

I've met people from Hellspersonell, ... they Forced me to be join their team. I lost. I can't blame them. But we can blame Devil.

I can't do anything right. Hate is not right though. No wait. I have Hate against certain people. But i struggel killing bugs 🐞 to begin with.

Mary Terry, would you please describe in a little bit more detail what your statement means. Do you mean narcissists detach from the physical world by creating their own illusory world?

Muslims, Christians, and Jews are patriarchal, Abrahamic religions. I wonder if there's less narcissistic behaviors regarding Buddhists and Atheists.

Per all of this, I tend to usually ask the simplest, baseline, common sense, logical question:

If it's unquestionably, undeniably true and good....then why isn't it?

My whole life, I've seen and heard world news constantly that government officials everywhere claim their atrocities are backed by their belief systems / religions, and they claim these things with smiles on their faces. All of their horrors committed give me pause, doubts, questions, and then some as to anything at all they believe in is truth or goodness in any way, shape or form. At the very least, these people are narcissists who use religions and their texts to be the foundation for their hatred and aggressions. More likely, though, they fall into the simplest symptom to spot for diagnosing Psychosis - having a "god complex."

This is why it shouldn't be taboo or frowned upon to question anyone's belief systems or flat out try to educate them when they are wrong. Not doing so enables these such folks to become dangerous...or just further perpetuates them to be that way. And once again, I'm saying that the best thing anyone into religion(s) can be is..."fully educated" on their religion and have read said text cover-to-cover...and don't stop there......read another, especially one that you "think" you know about and/or have any form of apprehension or hate towards. The phrase "eye opening" has more to do with you the individual opening your own eyes to something you have been closing them to or looking away from. It doesn't mean you have to partake in any rituals, rites or practices (but I bet you'll find that you already do them because so many are the same)......it's just reading "everything" so that you actually know what's there from what isn't. Don't guess that you know. Don't think that you know. Know that you know.

I've never liked the phrasing that "to know god is to fear god." That's a paradox of a statement right there.
People always fear the most, that which they don't understand. From this fear set is how we often choose anger and even hate. Therefore choosing to learn and understand more will equate to less anger and hatefulness or even spreading such negatives to others.

Christianity may teach humility, but Christians become fearful when human beings of other faiths say that their religions are as legitimate as Christianity. And then Christian fear can take over, turning into Christian arrogance (narcissism) whereby the Christian teaching of humility is lost.
