Is there a place on AspiesCentral where we can see whos online and talk to them ?

You can write on people's Profiles.

You can visit the Chat Room, although that is
definitely not to everyone's taste. The atmosphere
varies considerably.

There is a section where Members Online are listed.
If you click at the top of the page where it says "Recent Activity"
that will result in a list of "Members Online Now."
